Priming of the sub-fascia continues; close observation from the foreman also continues.

Spent the last few days priming fascia boards. I hate painting- those that know me, know this.

After many smashed fingers, lots of sweating, a necessary amount of swearing, and an entire box of cap nails, the roof underlayment is installed with Rachel’s help. We had fun, but also… our fingers hurt real bad afterward.

Really productive day! After learning, the hard way, that I should not (and could not) get a 4x8 sheet of plywood up on the roof by myself, I enlisted the help of @catsilo and …

A very productive day thanks to the help of both @milsyobtaf and @catsilo – today was a real barn raising. They lofted the rafters and installed them while I made all the bird’s mouth and plum end cuts. We managed to get all of the remaining rafters installed, which was super great!

The neighborhood board has finally given full permission for us to continue construction, with unmodified plans. After nearly a 2 month delay (57 days, to be exact) construction has begun once again with @milsyobtaf ’s assistance.
All four walls are now mostly sheathed, next up is to raft the ceiling joists and finish sheathing both the roof and the pitched side-wall segments.
