Not a super productive day, but I did learn something valuable. First time measuring/cutting bird’s mouths in rafters. Managed to get a few up by myself. Bones made sure I did a good job.

The neighborhood board has finally given full permission for us to continue construction, with unmodified plans. After nearly a 2 month delay (57 days, to be exact) construction has begun once again with @milsyobtaf ’s assistance.

All four walls are now mostly sheathed, next up is to raft the ceiling joists and finish sheathing both the roof and the pitched side-wall segments.
Bones is unsure about the great toy purge of 2022.

After nearly a year and a half of trying to find a contractor that gave us confidence and was willing to work within our budget, we are delayed indefinitely because of our contractor dropping out of …
24 hours before we were set to begin demolition, our contractors called to let us know they would not be able to complete the project.
We are now 4-6 months away from beginning anew with another contractor.
Cool.

Flooring done! Well, the part we have to do anyway- there’s still half of the house to go, but that’ll be on the contractors to do, along with the rest of the remodel project.

Back bedroom (library) is halfway complete. Bones has started to acclimate to the new flooring. The guest bedroom has become storage to make way for everything.
