After nearly a year and a half of trying to find a contractor that gave us confidence and was willing to work within our budget, we are delayed indefinitely because of our contractor dropping out of …

24 hours before we were set to begin demolition, our contractors called to let us know they would not be able to complete the project.

We are now 4-6 months away from beginning anew with another contractor.

Cool.

Flooring done! Well, the part we have to do anyway- there’s still half of the house to go, but that’ll be on the contractors to do, along with the rest of the remodel project.

We’ve officially broken ground on the remodel project with floor prep ahead of a glue-down installation of engineered hardwood, which we will be responsible for half the house (contractors are tackling the other half).

The floor is smooth and free of glue and mortar where tile and carpet once lived. Bonus dog for internet points.
